EVERY DROP COUNTS! March 22 is WORLD WATER DAY
Every year on March 22, the world observes World Water Day — a reminder of how important water is in our daily lives.
To take part in this meaningful day, I created a small crochet project: a simple water droplet. It may look small, but it carries a message that matters — every drop truly counts.

Why World Water Day Matters
World Water Day, recognized by the United Nations, highlights the importance of clean and accessible water. It also encourages people around the world to take action in protecting and managing water resources responsibly.
Each year comes with a different theme, focusing on issues like climate change, access to clean water, and sustainable solutions for the future. These themes remind us that water is not just something we use — it’s something we need to protect.

A Personal Reflection
Living in a rural area has made me more aware of how valuable water really is.
Even though we are close to natural water sources like rivers, access to clean and reliable water is not always consistent. There are times when supply becomes limited, especially during dry seasons.
Experiencing this firsthand made me realize how important it is to use water wisely and appreciate what we have.
This crochet water droplet is a simple way to spread awareness. It’s something anyone can make — beginner-friendly and meaningful at the same time.
Sometimes, small actions can remind us of bigger responsibilities.

Final Thoughts
Water is a simple part of our everyday lives, but it plays a huge role in everything we do.
Through this small crochet piece, I hope to remind myself — and anyone reading this — to be more mindful of how we use water.
Because in the end, every drop counts.
