Hi, I’m Angie — the heart behind Woolshie
I’m a mom, a wife, a former kindergarten teacher, and a crocheter. At the same time, I juggle family life, creativity, and the quiet joy of making things by hand.
My crochet journey
I started crocheting in 2016. At first, I was very slow and often ended up with tangled yarn all over my bed. However, I crocheted every day, and little by little, I learned along the way.
Over time, crochet became my therapy and my quiet place. Because of this, it slowly turned into more than just a hobby. It gave me emotional comfort during moments when I needed it most.
Why Woolshie exists
Woolshie is my creative outlet. More importantly, I hope it encourages moms and women to start something new, slow down, and create something meaningful.
As a mom, however, finding time to crochet isn’t always easy. Still, I design and write easy crochet patterns whenever I can. I share them for free here on this website, because I believe crochet should feel welcoming, not overwhelming.
Thankfully, my husband and my little one support my love for crochet. That support allows me to create, write, and share patterns and blog content with other moms and crocheters.

Woolshie is a home for simple crochet, free patterns, and gentle encouragement for beginners.
